Data Engineering

Turn your business data into decisions you trust

Data ETL builds the pipelines that take data out of your apps, databases, CRM and spreadsheets, clean it, model it and load it into one cloud warehouse. Sales, finance and leadership then work from one set of numbers.

Overview

Clean, connected data the whole business can trust

Your website, apps, CRM, shop and spreadsheets all record what happens in the business, but each keeps its own copy and none of them agree. Reports get rebuilt by hand every month, and nobody is quite sure which number is right.

Data ETL builds the pipelines that fix that. We extract data from your databases, SaaS tools, APIs and files, clean it, join it and model it around how your business actually works, using proven tools such as Airflow, dbt and cloud warehouses.

The result is one trusted set of numbers in a warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift or PostgreSQL, feeding Power BI, Looker Studio or your own apps. Every pipeline is monitored, tested and documented, so the data keeps arriving on time long after go-live.

How we deliver

How we deliver data projects

Short, visible steps that give you trusted data early, then add more sources and reports sprint by sprint.

  1. Step 01

    Data assessment

We map your data sources, reports and pain points, and measure data quality.

  2. Step 02

    Architecture

The target model designed, with the right cloud tools chosen.

  3. Step 03

    Build pipelines

Extraction, transformation and loading built and tested in sprints.

  4. Step 04

    Analytics

Dashboards and reports your teams use to make real decisions.

  5. Step 05

    Run and improve

Monitoring, support and new data sources as you grow.

Data Engineering FAQ

Data engineering, answered

What is data engineering?

It is the work of getting data out of the systems that create it, cleaning and modelling it, and loading it where people can use it for reporting, planning and AI. It covers the pipelines, the data models, the quality checks and the monitoring that keep the numbers right every day.

Which data warehouse should we use?

It depends on your data and your team. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift and Azure Synapse suit large or fast growing data, while PostgreSQL is often enough for a smaller business. We recommend one after an assessment, not before.

Which sources can you connect?

Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server, SaaS tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify and Google Analytics, REST APIs, spreadsheets and files. If a system holds data, we can usually extract it.

Can you move our old reports to the new setup?

Yes. We review your current reports and spreadsheets, decide what to rebuild, merge or retire, and move them step by step, keeping your reports running during the change.

How do you make sure the data is correct?

Every pipeline checks for missing records, duplicates, broken references and totals that must reconcile with the source. A failed check raises an alert before anyone sees a wrong number, and each run is logged, so any figure can be traced back to where it came from.

Can you add data tracking to our website or app?

Yes. Because we build websites and apps too, we can add event tracking where it is needed and send it straight into your warehouse, so product and marketing numbers sit next to sales and finance.
